In Mizoram, the 16-day sitting Budget Session of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly began on Monday in Aizawl with the customary address by Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati.<br />''<br />''Addressing members of the Mizoram Assembly, Dr Kambhampati said that the priorities of the state government will be improvement of the economic conditions by enhancement of private as well as judicious resource management and effective mobilization.<br />''<br />''The Governor said that the state government will launch the "Bana Kaih" – a new hand-holding policy soon. He said that this innovative policy will address the issue of availability of institutional credit, particularly microcredit, both for agriculture and small industrial endeavours which have been a pertinent issue in the past.
