<span style="color: #222222;">In Mizoram, the State Government has taken all measures for farmers to continue harvesting and farming activities during the lockdown period. Officials said that the government has instructed the Deputy Commissioners of all districts to make all arrangements towards field activities undertaken by the farmers and also ensure that the farmers observe hygienic measures.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Also, the State Government has launched HelpLine numbers- 0389 2311160 and 2328564 for any sort of help and counselling to the farmers during the lockdown period. The government has asked all Village Level Task Forces, who are monitoring strict adherence to lockdown by citizenry, to allow and help the farmers to discharge works at their farms.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Following this government initiative, farmers have started their farming activities in most places of the state. In many areas, representatives from local bodies have come forward to extend help to the farmers. Meanwhile, the Agriculture Minister C. Lalrinsanga held a meeting with all Deputy Commissioners and Agricultural Officers of all districts through video conferencing to assess the ground situation, particularly for addressing the challenges faced by farmers during lockdown.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister made it clear that the government will ensure safety, security and welfare of people during the COVID-19 crisis.
