Mizoram govt announces relaxations to lockdown in view of decline in number of COVID19 cases

In Mizoram, the state government has announced relaxations to the lockdown of its current 7th phase in view of decline in the number of Covid-19 positive cases in the state. The relaxation will be effective from today till 30th of this month except Sunday, which will come under curfew.<br />'' <br />''The relaxations are given to the functioning of business and public transport in the containment areas comprising Aizawl municipal areas and district headquarters.<br />'' <br />''The order was issued today by the Chief Secretary Lalnunmawia Chuaungo, who is also the chairman of the executive committee of the state disaster management authority. According to the order, every alternative shop and commercial enterprise will be allowed to function on alternative days. While public transport, city buses and maxi-cabs are allowed to ply on odd-even mechanism. The areas beyond containment zones have already been availing lockdown relaxations.<br />''<br />''This is noted that the state has ordered lockdown-7 on 21st June for 23rd to 30th of this month. The state disaster management authority took that decision of total lockdown given the gradual rise of the number of COVID-19 cases in the state in the last two weeks.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Officials said that 47 patients recovered today. With this, the number of active cases has come down to 100.</span><br />
