<span style="color: #222222;">Mizoram government decided to extend the lockdown till 30th April as a preventive measure to contain the spread of Coronavirus. Chief Minister Zoramthanga announced this after chairing a meeting of council of Ministers today. Followed by this meeting Chief Minister also held meeting with different committees, and state level task forces and representatives of NGOs in this regard. Chief Minister said that during the extended period of lockdown some relaxation is likely to be given to a few sectors which will be chalked out in course of time.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, the state government has decided to intensify the security measures along the bordering areas with Assam and Tripura, and along the international borders the state is sharing with as a preventive step to contain the spread of COVID19.<br />'' <br />''<br />''The state government has also decided to provide the stranded Mizo people free accommodation and free fooding at the Mizoram House located in various states. Chief Minister said the decision has been taken as there is no way out to bring back the Mizo people stranded in various states in lockdown period due to suspension of all types of transportation all over the country. </span><br />
