In Mizoram, former Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) Kali Kumar Tongchangya was sentenced to four years imprisonment and a fine of Four Lakh rupees by a Special court in Aizawl today.<br />'' <br />'' The Court under the Prevention of Corruption Act, headed by Special Judge Dr H T C Lalrinchhana sentenced Tongchangya for misappropriation of huge public funds to the tune of more than 1 Crore 79 Lakh. These funds under the Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources were earmarked for road construction, which otherwise were allegedly diverted for purposes related to his party campaign fund and party expenses.<br />
