In Mizoram, Minister Dr. K. Beichhua of the Zoramthanga-led Mizo National Front (MNF) government today resigned from the Ministry.  The Minister of State Dr. K. Beichhua was holding the portfolios of Excise and Narcotics, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Sericulture, and Social Welfare departments in the Zoramthanga government. The Minister has tendered his resignation letter to Chief Minister Zoramthanga.<br />''<br />''Later, speaking to the media at Aizawl, Mr. Beichhua said he was directed to resign by Chief Minister Zoramthanga, who is also the ruling Mizo National Front president. He said, the Chief Minister asked for his resignation for the purpose of reshuffling the Council of Ministers. The MNF legislator from the Siaha Assembly constituency said that he would continue to be a legislator and remain in the MNF for now.
