In Mizoram, Chief Minister Zoramthanga asked the Police and Armed Forces to beef up security measures along the state's borders. In a meeting with the officials of the Home Department, Assam Rifles and Border Security Force yesterday, the Chief Minister said that the state borders must be guarded more strictly as COVID-19 cases have now been confirmed in all neighbouring countries and states. He said that security forces along the borders must make sure that no illegal trespassers secretly cross over into the state.<br />''  <br />'' Mr Zoramthanga also emphasized on concerted coordination among Assam Rifles, BSF, State Police, the village level task force and the NGOs to combat the threat of COVID-19. State Home Minister Lalchamliana also attended the meeting. Assam Rifles and BSF, which man the international borders with Myanmar and Bangladesh, gave reports of border vigil.
