In Mizoram, Chief Minister Zoramthanga today requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure suspension of incoming movement of security personnel to the state till the end of this month.<br />'' <br />''In a letter to PM Modi, Shri Zoramthanga expressed concern over rising Covid-19 cases among the security forces personnel.<br />'' <br />''Zoramthanga mentioned that about 70 percent of Covid-19 cases in the state are from the military and paramilitary forces.<br />'' <br />''As of today, the state has 482 COVID-19 cases. As 258 patients has recovered so far the number of active cases presently stand at 224.<br />'' <br />''Meanwhile, the state government today decided to stop the incoming movement of the paramilitary and military personnel from other states till 15th August.<br />'' <br />''The decision was taken at a meeting of the top officials including Chief Secretary Lalnunmawia Chuaung and DG police S. B. K. Singh. <br />'' <br />''As per this decision, the prohibition will remain effective till 15th of this month and may be extended further on developments of the situation of coronavirus infections in the state.<br />'' <br />''Also, the state government decided to treat the infected para-military personnel at separate COVID care centres in view of the spike in COVID-19 cases among security personnel.<br />'' <br />''The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the state Health Minister Dr R Lalthangliana on Sunday.<br />'' <br />''The State Government has decided to reserve Nursing school (COVID-19 care centre) in Serchhip town for BSF jawans while AYUSH hospital at Thenzawl in Serchhip district and Tribal Art Centre at Tanhril in Aizawl have been chosen for treating paramilitary forces.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Assam Rifles has its own COVID-19 care Centre at Zokhawsang near Aizawl.</span><br />
