The Chief Minister of Mizoram, Pu Lalthanhawla, today asked the youth of the state to abstain from any kind of drugs and alcohol. He was addressing the gathering at the final match of a local cricket tournament at Ramhlun Sports Complex in Aizawl. He said any athlete, who is addicted to any form of drugs and alcohol, will not be promoted by the state government.The Chief Minister was of the view that the Mizo sportspersons are talented enough to compete at the national level. He said the state government is trying its best to provide necessary infrastructure to Mizo youth to showcase its talent. He also said the government is doing its best to strengthen the sports infrastructure so that it could become employment-oriented too.
