Mizoram: All political parties make last attempt to woo the voters ahead of assembly elections

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">In Mizoram, election campaigning is at its peak as the silent period is just two days away. All the political parties, the BJP, Congress, the ruling Mizo National Front, Aam Aadmi Party, and the Zoram People's Movement are making their last attempt to woo the voters.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"> </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Mizoram will go for a single phase of poll on November 7 to elect 40 members Legislative Assembly. Counting will take place on December 3.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"> </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, the Chief Electoral Officer Mandhup Vyas said today that the State Election Department is ready for the smooth conduct of the forthcoming Assembly elections.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"> </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Speaking to Akashvani News in Aizawl this afternoon, the Chief Electoral Officer said that the entire election team has been trained and sensitized. He expressed the hope that Mizoram will witness a record turn-out in the ensuing Assembly elections.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"> </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The CEO revealed that there is a minimal violation of Model Code of Conduct adding that there were only 8 complaints in Cvigil which were disposed of.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"> </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">He said that there are a total of Eight Lakh Fifty-Seven Thousand and Sixty-Three voters in the state who are eligible for voting in the ensuing Assembly polls.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"> </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The CEO said that there are 30 critical polling stations out of which 29 are vulnerable. He further said that webcasting will be done in 60 percent of the polling stations across the state.</span></p>
