In Mizoram, people under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) are getting free gas cylinders. Officials said, 24,202 beneficiaries, as against 28,121 active customers under the PMUY across the state have been provided free gas cylinders to facilitate them cope with the stress of lockdown due to COVID-19.<br />'' <br />'' Presently, during the pandemic, the Central Government is providing several kinds of relief under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) to the underprivileged people. Of this, an important component is to provide three LPG cylinders (14.2 kilogram) free to over eight crore beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana over the period of April to June 2020.<br />'' <br />''IOC official at Aizawl Martin Gangte said, for the seamless implementation of the scheme, the IOC has been transferring an advance equal to the retail selling price (RSP) of one 14.2 kilogram refill or one five kilogram refill depending upon the type of package to the linked bank account of PMUY customer. Thereafter, a customer can use this advance money to take LPG refill.<br />
