A total of 125 persons have been found HIV positive in Mizoram in the month of July, 2010 while 113 persons were tested positive for HIV in the month of June. The data, issued by Mizoram State AIDS Control Society, says that total number of HIV positive persons in Mizoram has gone up to 4,846. In July, a total of 4,169 persons were blood tested and out of them 125 were found to be positive. 59 persons have been found HIV positive in the age group of 25-34 years. Data also mentions that 86 persons caught the HIV infection through sexual contact while 35 got it through Injectionable Drugs.
