In Rajasthan, a bandh is being observed in Dausa district by Gujjar activists. The bandh is total in Dausa city and Mahua town and partial in other parts. Roadways bus service from Dausa has been suspended following the bandh. Additional forces have been deployed in Dausa and senior officers are camping there to keep watch on the situation. AIR correspondent reports, there is a mixed response to bandh call given by the Gujjars protestors in Dausa district. Dausa and Mahua are worst affected by the bandh and it is partial at other places, though the Gujjars agitators and trying the close the shops and other commercial organization in the district. Meanwhile the state government has send invitation to Col. Kirodi Singh Bainsla thorough Bharatpur Collector to initiate talks with the three member committee of Ministers constituted by the government to resolve the issue. The government has again clarified that Gujjars will continue to get benefit of one per cent reservation though the recruitment process will not be stopped. On the other hand the Gujjar protestors are adamant on their demand to stop the recruitment. The Gujjar agitation has now spread to at least 12 districts. In eastern Rajasthan many roads are blocked and Delhi-Mumbai rail section remains close for fifth day on Friday.
