US Middle East envoy George Mitchell is in Middle East to make efforts to resume stalled Middle east peace process. In this connection he met Israeli President, Prime minister and other officials. He is also scheduled to meet Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas in West Bank to discussed peace process in the region.Earlier, after meeting with Israeli President Shimon Peres, Mitchell said that situation is complex and difficult but US will pursue until it achieves the objective. Before travelling to Israel, Mitchell held talks in Lebanon and Syria, where he stressed that both countries had a key role to play in a comprehensive Middle East peace.
