The Ministry of Home Affairs is launching next month a mission mode project for modernisation and upgradation of immigration services in the country. Home Ministry sources said that project aims to develop a secure and integrated service delivery framework to enhance security and facilitation in the visa issuance process. <br/><br/>It will also strengthen the immigration besides fortifying the foreigners registration process for their effective tracking. The project titled Immigration, visa and foreigners registration and trafficking is estimated to cost over one thousand crore rupees and will be implemented over a period of more than four years. <br/><br/>With the implementation of the project all the 169th Indian missions across the world, 77 immigration check posts and the foreigners regional registration offices in the country would be linked with Central Foreigners Bureau. The project will make the stay of genuine tourist more comfortable in the country.<br/>
