Thirteen insurgents were killed on Tuesday in southern Afghanistan by a missile that international forces fired from an unmanned aerial vehicle. <br/><br/>NATO said coalition troops saw a group of insurgents near a safe house preparing ammunition in the Helmand province, when the international force launched one missile, killing the 13 militants. Yesterday, another missile fired from an unmanned aircraft killed three insurgents farther south in the Nad Ali district of Helmand.<br/><br/>In Paris, meanwhile, the French military said a French army captain died on Tuesday of wounds suffered a day before during an insurgent ambush in the Alasay valley east of Kabul. Another French soldier was killed instantly in the same ambush.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, the issues discussed in the meeting included terrorism, humanitarian assistance to Pakistan as well as strengthening democratic institutions in Afghanistan. <br/><br/>Elaborating the goal of the meeting the Afghan foreign minister said that the overall aim of the discussion was the economic and social development of the country with regional cooperation. <br/><br/>The other important aim of the discussions related to Afghanistan is to find ways to transfer the security responsibilities to Afghan government in a time frame manner. The meeting took place ahead of a major conference planned on 28th of this month in London to discuss Afghan issue which will be followed by a conference in Kabul in April this year.
