Lok sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Thursday said the house has taken serious note of the complaint on misbehavior and assault on a Member of Parliament and will not tolerate such misbehavior against the members. She said this after the house witnessed unruly scenes during Zero hour after BJP members raised the issue of alleged misbehavior by a home ministry official and assault on Bishnu Pada Ray, the party MP from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The Speaker said, she has received a notice for a breach of privilege motion from the MP and an enquiry would be conducted into the matter. The Speaker said a suitable decision will be taken after receiving the report from the ministry.
Parliamentary affairs Minster Pawan Kumar Bansal said, the copy of the complaint from the Member of Parliament is being forwarded to the concerned ministry.
