A minor fire that broke out on a merchant vessel off the Mumbai coast has been completely extinguished. Four Coast Guard vessels including pollution control vessel ICGS Samudra Prahari along with an emergency towing vessel were used for dousing the fire. All the crew members were evacuated safely.MV Amsterdam Bridge, the Antigua and Barbuda-flagged merchant vessel, headed towards Colombo had reached just four nautical miles from Mumbai coast when a small fire started in the engine room on Sunday evening.
