Ministry of Water Resources has released central assistance of 734 crore rupees for different irrigation projects. Of the total amount released last week, 247 crore rupees were for nine prioritized projects under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) for Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme (AIBP) works and over 487 crore rupees for Command Area Development (CAD) works of 17 projects.<br/><br/>The Ministry in a statement said, during the current financial year, central assistance worth over 1152 crore rupees have so far been released for 26 priority projects under AIBP. Apart from this, 436 crore rupees have been released under PMKSY- Har Khet Ko Pani (HKKP) for Surface Minor Irrigation and Repair, Renovation and Restoration schemes for various States.
