The Ministry of Tourism will now pay fee of architect’s up to 2 per cent of the project cost under the scheme of Infrastructure Development for Destinations and Circuits. This will encourage the State Governments to engage the architects for preparation of design and supervising the implementation of tourism projects to world class standards. According to the official sources, the ceiling for Central Financial Assistance will continue to remain as 5 crore and 8 crore rupees for destinations and circuits respectively.
