<span style="color: #222222;">The Union Minister of Textiles Piyush Goyal announced that the Ministry of Textiles has decided to set up a Handloom Village at Moirang of Manipur.<br />'' <br />'' The Union Minister who arrived Imphal this afternoon for a two days visit to the State announced the setting up of a Handloom Village in the inaugural function of Thematic Exhibition of Crafts and distribution of Pehchan Card in Imphal held this evening.<br />'' <br />'' While speaking at the function, Shri Piyush Goyal said that India is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in commemoration of 75th years of India Independence. The city- Moirang of Manipur is a very important place in the history of India's freedom movement. The Netaji Subhas Chandra led INA hoisted the tricolour flag at Moirang in its Imphal Campaign during the second World War.<br />'' <br />'' He said, an INA Museum is there at Moirang and tourists across the globe visit the Museum. To showcase the rich handloom products of Manipur and attract the tourists, the ministry decided to set up the Handloom Village there and work on it will be started very soon.<br />''<br />''The Union Minister held a meeting with the party members at the office BJP Manipur Pradesh just after he landed in Imphal. He also visited an Ashram and attended the program there before chairing a meeting with the officials of Department of Textiles Manipur. The Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh accompanied the Union Minister on his visit. Shri Piyush Goyal will leave Imphal tomorrow morning for Guwahati.&nbsp;</span>
