The Ministry of Environment and Forests has dismissed the media reports that Genetic Engineering Appraisal Committee, GEAC has granted approval to GM Mustard. <br/><br/>The ministry in a statement released in New Delhi said that no final decision has been taken as yet on the issue. It said the GEAC, in a meeting held on 11th of this month, had examined the Safety Document prepared by its Sub-Committee. The GEAC has appraised the Safety Document prepared by the Sub-Committee and the Safety Document will be put up on the website of GEAC inviting comments from the public.
