Ministers headed by Rajnath discussed issues related to operationalisation of proposed anti-corruption ombudsman Lokpal

The Group of Ministers headed by Home Minister Rajnath Singh today met in New Delhi and discussed issues related to operationalisation of proposed anti-corruption ombudsman Lokpal. Union Ministers Arun Jailtey, Sushma Swaraj and Dr Jitnedra Singh were among those attended the meeting held in New Delhi. The meeting came after the Supreme Court said last week that the Lokpal Act is a workable piece of legislation and that it was not justifiable to keep it pending. As per the Act, a selection committee headed by the Prime Minister chooses chairperson and members of the Lokpal.<br/><br/>
