Punjab Transport Minister Mohan Lal has hinted an increase of ten paisa per kilometer in the bus fares soon in Punjab in order to give relief to the transport sector. Talking to media persons in Kapurthala today , Mohan Lal said, he was personally in favour of an increase of bus fare by 4 paisa per kilometer but the government wanted an increase of ten paisa and the final decision is likely to be taken by the cabinet soon. He disclosed that increase in fare was very essential as the transport sector was incurring huge loses due to increase in the rates of spare parts and tyres besides hike in diesel prices.
