The Centre today approached the Supreme Court seeking its direction to transfer before it all cases arising out of mining licence cancellation that are pending in various high courts.Agreeing to hear the Centre's plea, a bench headed by Chief Justice R M Lodha issued notice to all the companies which have filed petitions in high courts.The Centre in its petition has contended that transfer of all the cases relating to the allocation of coal mining licences at one place shall facilitate the speedy disposal of the petition.The NDA government has also pleaded that it will also end multiple litigation of the same issue of challenging the validity of cancellation of licences.
