After abrogation of Article 370 and 35A, the Mini Conclave of First Jammu and Kashmir Investor Summit-2019 is held in Leh on Thursday.
Addressing the investors, the Jammu and Kashmir Industries & Commerce Principal Secretary Navin Kumar Choudhary said the latest political developments are meant for rapid development in the state.
Despite the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are going to be the Union Territories from 1st November onwards.
However, he said considering the long winter and administrative bifurcations till beginning of the next financial year are the reasons for holding the investors conclave in Leh.
Navin Choudhary suggested Ladakh should also think vistas beyond agriculture and tourism. He said Ladakh has potential for backward linkages for Solar power manufacturing units and Geo thermal power etc.
Principal Secretary Navin Choudhary said, Confederation of Indian INdustries CII has listed out various prospects available in Ladakh for investors.
Navin Choudhary also announced to reduce the premiun of SIDCO Land in Ladakh in a couple of days.
The Mini Conclave is attended by the Leh Hill council CEC Gyal P Wangyal, LAHDC officials, CII representatives and the investors from across the state.
