A gas explosion in a coal mine in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province has killed 42 miners and 66 are reported missing. According to the rescue headquarters, the gas outburst in Xinxing Coal Mine based in Hegang City, happened 400 meters underground. Rescuers were still searching for the missing. He said 29 injured workers including six seriously injured were taken to a hospital. According to the mining company, 528 miners were working underground at the time of explosion of which, 415 managed to escape from the site of the accident.
