Millions of devotees witnessed return car festival of Lord Jaganath

In Odisha, millions of devotees witnessed the return car festival 'Bahuda Yatra' of the world famous car festvial 'Rath Yatra' of Lord Jaganath at Puri today. All the rituals of the Lord Jagannath, brother Lord Balabhadra and Sister Devi Subhadra were started since early morning with the three chariots of the deities parked at Saradhabali in front of the 'Nakachana Dwar' or exit gate of the Sri Gundicha Temple. After the 'Pahandi Bije' of the dieties, from the sanctum sanctorum of the Sri Gundicha Temple and 'Chera Pahanra' by King of Puri Raja Divya Singh Dev, pulling of the chariots towards Sri Jagannath Temple started by thousands of the devotees. The three chariots, Nandighosa, Taladhwaja and Devadalana, have reached Sri Jagannath Temple by evening. The world-famous 'Suna Besha' or decoration of dieties with gold oranments of the Lords, will be held tomorrow evening. Elaborate security arrangements were made in and around Puri considering the huge crowd of the devotees to witness the 'Bahuda Yatra' which marked the end of nine-day long world famous 'Rath Yatra' of Puri.
