In Libya, rebel leaders say, their military commander General Abdel Fattah Younes has been shot dead. General Younes was Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's Interior Minister until the start of the uprising in February when he defected to the rebels. The rebel National Transitional Council head Mustafa Abdul-Jalil said, General Abdel Fattah Younes was killed by assailants. Reports said, General Younes was suspected of ties to pro-Gaddafi forces. Mr. Jalil said, two aides to General Younes were also killed in the attack.
