In Pakistan, at least 23 people, including 10 terrorists were killed in a militant attack at Jinnah International Airport's old terminal in Karachi late last night.
Pakistan's army spokesman declared an end to the military operation following a six-hour long siege of the country's busiest airport. Army units had been called from the nearby Malir cantonment base.
Major General Asim Bajwa said 10 militants were killed in clashes, and that ammunition, rockets and Rocket Propelled Grenades were recovered from them. He tweeted that airport will be cleared by mid day for operations and will be handed back to Civil Aviation Authority.
Police sources said in Karachi that the terrorists were dressed in airport security personnel uniforms and are said to have forged fake ID cards of Airport Security Force.
A red alert has been issued for all the airports across the country.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
