In Pakistan, ten people, including three women, were killed when suspected militants attacked a bus in Kurram tribal region in the northwest of the country. The bus was going from Kurram agency to Nowshera in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province when it was attacked by armed men. Seven persons, including three women, died on the spot while three succumbed to their injuries in a nearby hospital. Police have launched a massive search operation to trace the attackers. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. Clashes between rival Shia and Sunni tribesmen in the region have killed hundreds of people over the past few years.
