Afghanistan capital of Kabul has come under militant attack who have entered some government buildings and are battling the security personnel. Bomb explosions, rocket attacks and gun shots were heard near the only five-star hotel and fighting is still going on. There is no official confirmation of casualties and security personnel have cordoned off the whole area. Residents of the five star hotels were taken to basement for security as militants are suspected to have taken hold of a multi-storeyed bank building nearby. Fire was reported from a portion of the hotel. There were several bursts of automatic fire and rockets, one of which hit the courtyard of the hotel. Other rockets targeted the ministries of finance, justice, and the country's central bank. Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack saying multiple suicide bombers have entered the city to carry out the attack.
