In Jammu & Kashmir, one militant was killed in the ongoing anti militancy operation. The operation was launched by the security forces in south kashmir's Pulwama district last evening. The Army, Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police and CRPF in a joint operation cordoned off Nayan Batpora village of Pulwama district after a tip off about the presence of militants in the area. The hiding militants reportedly fired upon the forces triggering off a gunfight. Reports said the firing resumed around 06:30 this morning.<br/><br/>The body of the slain militant Shariq Ahmad of Bandina village in Pulwama district, has been retrieved from the debris at the encounter. Meanwhile, a civilian youth sustained critical injuries in the clashes and succumbed on his way to hospital. Two other youths were also injured in the violent clashes with Police and security forces near the encounter site.
