In Jammu and Kashmir, an unidentified militant was killed in the cordon and search operation in Dardpora Lolab forest area in north Kashmir's Kupwara district. Am Army spokesman told AIR that the operation was in progress in the area.<br/><br/>The cordon and search operation was launched yesterday in the area following specific information about the presence of militants. Reports said the brief encounter triggered when security forces advanced in the forest area of Dardpora in Lolab where two to three militants were believed to be hiding. It is believed that militants taking the cover of thick forests fled from the encounter site. <br/><br/>Additional reinforcements were rushed to the area to assist in combing operation.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, anti militancy operation has ended. A Hizbul Mujahideen militant Bilal Ahmad Bhat of Kareem Abad Pulwama was killed in an encounter in the Gadoora village. Dozens of locals including some security personnel sustained injuries.
