In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces busted a militant hideout in Kishtwar district of Jammu division and recovered a large quantity of explosive material including 40 kilograms of Improved Explosive Device (IED). According to official sources, acting on a tip off, a joint team of Police and Rashtriya Rifles carried out a search operation in the upper reaches of Keshwan forest area of Kishtwar district yesterday and came across a hideout. Three UBGL Grenades, three Chinese Grenades and a box filled with explosive material fitted with wires, making it an IED was recovered. The hideout was extensively used by the slain Lashkar-e-Toiba militant Mohammad Sultan alias Noman, who was gunned down in an encounter in June this year. Our correspondent reports, that with this recovery, security forces have averted a major tragedy in the mountainous district of Kishtwar .
