In Jammu and Kashmir, Army averted a major tragedy ahead of Republic Day by busting a militant hideout and recovering arms and ammunition on Monday in border district of Rajouri in Jammu division. AIR Correspondent, R.K Raina quoting official sources has reported that acting on a tip off, Rashtriya Rifles launched search operations in Budhal area of Rajouri district and during extensive searches they came across a hide out from which they recovered an IED weighing 17 kilograms, 10 grenades and a binocular. The recovery has been made at a time when militants sitting across the border are making every possible effort to infiltrate to this side for disrupting the Republic Day Celebrations. It is believed that the consignment was dumped by the militants and was to be used at appropriate time for creating large scale destruction and killings.
