Union Minister Jitendra Singh has said that militancy has entered its last phase in Jammu and Kashmir and the militants are now on the run. Talking to reporters in Jammu yesterday, he said militants are under tremendous pressure from the security forces in the state.<br/><br/>Saying that police and security forces are doing a commendable job, Mr Singh said what is more praiseworthy is that the special operations group (SOG) of J&K Police is working shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in operations against the militants. <br/><br/>He said Pakistan's desperate efforts to keep militancy alive in the state speaks of its hopelessness and despair. Mr Singh said the longer Islamabad continues to support militancy and remains in denial mode, Pakistan is risking its own security and existence.<br/><br/>Replying a question about Supreme Court's decision concerning Rohingyas living in India, Jitendra Singh said as far the BJP and the NDA government is concerned, security of the country is the prime concern especially in light of the fact that a sizable population of Rohingyas is living in Jammu.
