Migrants stop NH, burn vehicles; curfew imposed

The situation in Ludhiana turned tense today when migrant labourers allegedly took the law into their hands after police did not register their complaints regarding theft by some unidentified persons last night. The labourers jammed the Ludhiana-Delhi Highway in the morning and torched more than a dozen vehicles. <br/> <br/>Poice has imposed curfew in five police station areas including focal points Sahnewal, Shimlapuri, Divisions 6 and 7. <br/><br/>While speaking to AIR Jalandhar corresponent Rajesh Bali, IG Jalandhar Range Sanjeev Kalra said that the situation is being brought under control and they have sought more forces. <br/><br/>
