Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar has claimed that midterm assembly elections in Maharashtra seems inevitable. Addressing a press conference in Mumbai yesterday, Pawar said that two years ago his party had announced support to BJP which won maximum seats in the assembly elections as no party had got a majority.

He said, NCP did not wanted political instability in the state immediately after the 2014 Assembly polls. Mr Pawar said, however, after two years, people have realized that BJP is no good and hence there is no question of supporting the government.
