US Defence Secretary Robert Gates arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Wednesday for talks with King Abdullah on issues being faced by countries in the Middle East. A Pentagon spokesperson has said that talks will be cantered on the situation in the Middle East. This is Gates’ third trip to the area in the past month.Last month, two days after Gates visited to Bahrain's rulers, the Saudis sent more than 1,000 troops into Bahrain on 14 March at that government's request, for security assistance. Observers say that Iran will also be the likely on the agenda of the talks, which is opposed to the Saudi intervention in Bahrain’s affairs.
