<span style="color: #222222;">Secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Amit Khare has emphasized on highlighting the local issues of the various states through different media. <br />''<br />'' Addressing the Regional Conference of North East Zone and Kolkata Region in Guwahati today, Mr. Khare said that local celebrities or well known persons must be involved in the programs that are being organized or broadcast by the Ministry. He said that North East is the gateway to East Asia and urged all to look into the North East region which connects the heartland of the country with East Asia.<br />''<br />''The Secretary also stressed the need for all communicators to be more active in social media platforms. Mr Khare said that social media is accessible to the people staying at remotest areas. He said that the programmes that are broadcast by the various units of the Ministry should have local flavour. He also stressed on to highlight success stories from various fields. </span>
