MIB condoles sudden demise of Brazilian filmmaker Oscar Filho at IFFI

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has condoled the sudden demise of Brazilian filmmaker Oscar Maron Filho, who was in Goa to participate in the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

In her condolence message, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Ambika Soni said that Filho could have achieved a lot more in life and his loss is irreparable.

In her message to the Brazilian Ambassador, Ms Soni also assured that all possible arrangements would be made so that the body of the filmmaker reaches his home country.

Filho, the director of biggest production house 'Atlantica Cinematographica' in Brazil, was in Goa with his film 'Mario Filho”: The Creator of Crowds' as a part of the IFFI Soccer package.

On Sunday, Filho was speaking at the open forum when he suffered a heart attack and died. He was 56.
