Central team from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), headed by Dr V Candavelu visited various Kashmiri Migrant colonies spread across the Jammu city and reviewed the status of ongoing works on construction of quarters under Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme. <br/><br/>The team during their two day tour to the winter capital visited the under construction Kashmiri Migrant quarters at Jagti near Nagrota and reviewed the pace of works on these two room tenements being constructed in the second phase to house 4218 Kashmiri Migrant families. <br/><br/>The team was apprised that out of total 5242 flats to be constructed under the programme with an estimated cost of 345 crore rupees, 1024 two room tenements have been completed at a cost of 51 crores in first phase at various locations. It was informed further that the allotment has been made and the works on the remaining 4218 two room tenements is under progress at an area of 716 kanals, the completion of which is expected by ending may this year.
