Ministry of Home Affairs has directed all the State Governments to forward the property returns of IPS Officers in their Cadre to the Centre forthwith.

According to an official release, the Ministry had found that the property returns of 713 officers for the year 2010 have not been received by the Central Government.

The Ministry has put the names of officers whose property returns have not been received on its website.

Taking note of media reports which states that some Heads of the Police Forces and some individual officers have already submitted their property returns, but their names still figure in the list, the Ministry stated that unless the property returns are received by the Central Government, the record will not be complete.

It added that till then it will be assumed that the property returns have not been submitted.
