Entire Rajasthan is facing severe heatwave condition. Mercury touched 48.7 degree Celsius at Churu yesterday. Sriganganagar recorded a maximum temperature of 47 degree Celsius. It was 46.8 at Bikaner and 46.3 at Kota. Maximum temperatures were above 44 degree at Jaipur and Jodhpur. Our correspondent reports that the State govt has changed the timings of MGNREGA works from today due to severe heat.Our correspondent reports that keeping in view of severe heat wave condition the state government has decided to change the timings of MGNREGA works.These works will be operated from 6 to 10 am from today.This decision will give relief to the workers who are facing tremendous heat during work at open sites.problem of electricity and drinking water is also increasing in the state.The Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot instructed officials to provide adequate power and water in villages and towns.The govt has provided 200 Cr Rs also to power companies for this work.
