Pakistan has said that it will grant Most Favoured Nation, MFN status to India as soon as possible. Foreign Ministry spokesman Moazzam Khan said yesterday that the government is working to complete the trade liberalisation process. Asked if Islamabad will meet its deadline for phasing out a negative list regime for trade by December 31 and giving MFN-status to India by 1st of January, Khan said the process will be completed as soon as possible. Pakistan's cabinet had earlier decided to grant MFN status to India by 1st of January 2013.
