The security cover of all metro stations in the national capital has been enhanced in view of the festive season even as Central Industrial Security Force, CISF has alerted its personnel against any sabotage or terrorist attempt in the mass rapid rail system.<br/><br/>The decision was taken after a high-level review of the security paraphernalia of Delhi Metro by senior CISF officials in New Delhi. Officials said, in order to further strengthen security of the over 150 stations in the national capital region, the CISF will enhance the presence of its commando teams, bomb detection and disposal squads and canine sniffer teams at sensitive stations which will be based on threat perception. They said, the CISF has also discussed the update of security measures with other stake holders like Delhi Police and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
