The Meteorological Department has prepared a four-tier system of weather forecast for Commonwealth Games where a very short range weather forecasting will be used for the first time. This will cover a very short range weather forecasting covering very specific geographical area. Director General of Met Department Ajit Tyagi said the weather conditions in and around Delhi will be monitored round the clock with the help of a network of 35 Automatic Weather Stations installed in the region. He said IMD will provide venue specific news round the clock during the Games.
