Meteorological Department predicts heavy to very heavy rain in Dwarka, Saurashtra

Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rain in Dwarka and Saurashtra in the next three hours. The deep depression will move at a speed of 50 to 60 km per hour tonight. Heavy rain may occur in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Patan of North Gujarat of the state. Currently, there are torrential rains in the districts of North Gujarat. People are facing difficulties due to low visibility on Modasa Shamlaji highway. Disa of North Gujarat received 1.5 inches of rainfall in an hour. Kutch has so far received 885mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours. The state's Palanpur-Abu road highway is flooded and has been closed. In Anand district, an old man was killed due to a broken power line and another man was killed in a house collapse incident in Segwa village of Valsad. After a building collapsed in Jamnagar, the people trapped in it have been rescued by the fire brigade.
