Four organisers of Metallica's maiden concert in India have been arrested on charges of cheating. The arrest of Ashok, Rajesh, Savia Faleio and Umesh – from the event management company – DNA network comes a day after the event planned in Gurgoan, Haryana was cancelled yesterday.

It was first deferred probably due to technical hitches and then cancelled provoking a section of over 20,000 fans to vandalise the venue.

The organisers said that the four-member American band is disappointed with the cancellation and that details of the ticket refunds will be announced within the next 24 hours.

The concert was scheduled to take place at the Leisure Valley in Gugaon.
